Monroe. Aurora.

The heavy end of the TANTALY catalog.

Monroe 2.0 and Aurora 2.0 are both sold with ambitious, life-like presentation. The decisions that matter are less glamorous: five to six kilograms of handling difference, two distinct body proportions, and an unusually explicit manufacturer warning that older packaging can misdescribe the Tantabutt feature.

Independent maker-source comparison updated October 14, 2026. These are TANTALY's published product figures, not DJP physical measurements. Neither unit has been independently tested or photographed by DJP.

Two shapes, two weight classes

TANTALY calls Monroe 2.0 a 68 lb full-size BBW doll in its store title, while Aurora 2.0 is presented as a 55.6 lb anime-styled, half-body design. But the manufacturer’s actual dimension tables list 83 cm overall height for Monroe and 86 cm for Aurora. That makes “full-size” a seller presentation label here, not evidence that Monroe is a conventional standing full-body doll with a complete head, arms and legs.

What matters in daily handling is the product’s actual weight, dimensions, support points and articulation. Monroe is listed at 31 kg (68.3 lb) net, while Aurora is 25.2 kg (55.57 lb). The 5.8 kg gap can matter when carrying a soft, awkwardly shaped object without handles. Neither maker listing should be treated as proof that a shelf, sling, furniture edge or lifting technique is safe.

Side-by-side: the specifications TANTALY actually publishes

Net weight is not shipping weight. Monroe’s listed carton is 36.5 kg gross; Aurora’s is 31 kg gross. The latter happens to equal Monroe’s net figure, but those are different measurements of different objects. Rounded title weights and the more precise specification-table numbers should also remain separate.

For actual storage, take the manufacturer’s box dimensions as a starting point, then allow clearance for opening the carton and supporting the product. The overall-height measurement is not a conventional standing-height specification. See DJP’s handling guide and torso versus full-body explanation.

The detail many storefront summaries will miss

On both current product pages, TANTALY explicitly states that the 2.0 version no longer features Tantabutt, and that some packaging still contains older Tantabutt information. The warning was visible on the manufacturer pages on October 14, 2026.

That’s useful disclosure, not evidence of a defective shipment or an accusation against a dealer. It means a current buyer should confirm the exact product version and current feature list rather than relying on a reused graphic, old box, reseller bullet point or generic “TANTALY technology” label. It also does not mean that every TANTALY doll has lost Tantabutt: the notice is specific to these named current 2.0 listings.

If a seller’s Monroe/Aurora listing still advertises Tantabutt, ask whether the offer is current 2.0 stock, a separately documented older revision or outdated marketing copy. Request written confirmation before ordering and retain the product URL and date. We don’t infer either motive or actual unit identity from a packaging mismatch alone.

What is actually established about softness?

TANTALY markets its Tantabosom soft-breast technology on both product pages. It describes its own softness advantage against conventional gel breasts, but the visible product copy does not identify a reproducible hardness method, test specimen geometry, comparison control or result range. DJP therefore treats the comparative-softness percentage as manufacturer marketing, not an independent durometer test.

The two versions also should not be assumed to share an identical internal skeleton, molding formulation, movement range or replacement-part interface just because both use TPE. Gallery poses and general category FAQs aren’t proof of an exact joint mechanism. Confirm model-specific construction directly with TANTALY or the seller before trying to load or force a joint.

Care and moving the heavier models

At 31 kg, Monroe requires a materially different handling plan than Crystal at the manufacturer’s 3.45 kg. Aurora is lighter than Monroe but still a substantial 25.2 kg item. The sensible pre-purchase questions are practical: can one person carry and position the item safely, does the floor/storage surface support it, and can the user clean and fully dry it without awkward lifting?

Avoid prolonged pressure on unsupported soft features, dragging the product across abrasive surfaces, or using a photo pose as permission to stress a joint. Follow the exact model’s current care/packing instructions. In particular, don’t blindly transfer care rules from TANTALY’s transparent Crystal formulation to a different torso product. A material-specific restriction on one product doesn’t establish universal compatibility or incompatibility for every product in the catalog.

Which one makes more sense?

Choose by space and handling before styling. Monroe’s published bust/hip measurements are larger, and its additional 5.8 kg may be meaningful. Aurora has its own anime-style presentation and narrower maker-published hip width. Those are source-backed distinctions; they are not evidence that one is more comfortable, more durable, better made or better value. We have not tested either.

If the planned storage space is tight, start with the exact overall and packed dimensions, not a generalized “full-size” or “half-body” category name. If the seller describes soft-region technology or movement differently than TANTALY, verify the current model before paying. Our seller-verification guide covers which listing and policy details deserve saving.
